Required qualifications: Ph.D. in French, French Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition (SLA) or a related field in hand by August 2013; native or near-native fluency in French and English; evidence of an active research program in the acquisition of French as a second language or a related field. Desirable qualifications: experience in language program coordination. The successful candidate must be able to direct the first-year French program and to teach undergraduate courses in French language and linguistics and graduate courses in teaching methodology and second language acquisition. Opportunities to collaborate with SLA/FLARE and Division faculty to develop and teach interdisciplinary courses.
