| Body | Hailing from Masuda City, Shimane prefecture - the land of gods in Japanese mythology - Iwami Kagura will entertain American audiences with two of the most popular titles "Ebisu" and "Orochi" in this five-city tour. Kagura (literally "god-entertainment") is an art form with deep ties to the polytheistic Shinto religion indigenous to Japan, and Iwami Kagura is famous for its characteristic melodic rhythm and splendid costumes. The Iwami Kagura tour is co-presented by the Japan Foundation and the Consulate-General of Japan in Atlanta, Nashville, and Miami.
