Body | From http://eastasia.wisc.edu/en/Outreach/2012JapaneseLangWrkshp.html 2012 Japanese Language Workshop “The JF Standard Familiarization Workshop” Saturday, October 13th, 2012 9:00am Van Hise Hall, 1220 Linden Drive, University of Wisconsin-Madison The Japan Foundation’s Standard for Japanese-Language Education (JF Standard) was developed under the principle of “Japanese for mutual understanding” as a tool to help think about teaching, learning, and assessment in Japanese-language education in line with 21st century pedagogy that is compatible with current guiding principles for language education in the U.S. such as thematic instruction and backward-designed curricula. During this workshop, participants will familiarize themselves with the JF Standard through the following activities: • Discussion on the basic idea of what the JF Standard is • Discussion on the relationship between the JF Standard and other standards in U.S. language education • Hands-on learning of how to use online tools for the JF Standard • Hands-on learning of how to revise/improve your curriculum • Implementing the JF Standard Registration Deadline: September 28th, 2012 For full details go to http://eastasia.wisc.edu/en/Outreach/2012JapaneseLangWrkshp.html |
