Oregon Public Broadcasting recently aired a radio interview with Alfred 'Bud' Lane III about efforts to preserve the Athabaskan language of the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians (Siletz Tribal Language Project, http://www.siletzlanguage.org ). The interview focused on the Siletz Talking Dictionary, an online collection of recorded words and phrases (http://siletz.swarthmore.edu ), and on the role of technology in preserving endangered languages.
