Title | National French Test changes |
Body | The test booklets for 2004 are being graded right now. What makes this year's Grand Concours different from previous years? CDs were used instead of cassettes. Levels 01, 1, and 2 had 70 questions. Levels 3, 4, and 5 had 60 questions. (There were previously 80 at all levels.) The sound discrimination "chien, sien, tien, bien" were removed in levels 01 and 1. In order to offer more context to the students during the audio assessment, the format of the rejoinders were a mini conversation. All culture questions at end of assessments were deleted, and grammar and vocabulary were assessed in context. More culture will be infused in the readings. If your students took the Grand Concours National French Assessment and you would like to comment on the test, please email your observations to the InterCom Editor at langsub@darkwing.uoregon.edu Please use "National French Test Response" as your subject heading. The Editor will compile all replies for a future posting to InterCom. |
