| Body | From http://rogueclassicism.com The DEPARTMENT OF CLASSICS at the UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA is seeking to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Classics, with special interest in the pedagogy of classical languages. The department seeks a broadly-trained classicist who, in addition to supervising the elementary Latin program, can teach across the classics curriculum at all levels, including courses in translation. The teaching load is six courses over two semesters: two of the courses are in pedagogy. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct independent research and publish on pedagogy and student engagement and to participate fully in departmental activities. The Ph.D. in Classics or any related field is required at the time of appointment (1 August 2012).
