| Body | From http://ncta.osu.edu/teaching_asia_seminars.html The National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA) is an eleven-week seminar series that provides 6-12th grade teachers with the knowledge, resources and expert guidance needed to incorporate or enhance curriculum about East Asia in their classrooms. Enroll in an NCTA seminar and uncover a wealth of information and experience on China, Japan and Korea-- all right here in Ohio. In addition to the knowledge you will gain about East Asia, you will receive the following benefits upon completion of program requirements: $500 personal stipend for your time and completed lesson plans; $200 worth of seminar texts and resources to add to your personal library; $300 resource grant to purchase Asia-related textbooks, films, and other supplies for your school; option to purchase graduate credit; and continuing education unit certificate. In Winter 2012, The Ohio State University's East Asian Studies Center, the coordinator for NCTA programs for the state of Ohio, will offer a seminar in Cleveland, on the campus of Case Western Reserve University.
