| Title | Upcoming Japanese Language Grants from the Japan Foundation |
| Body | Here are three grant opportunities for Japanese language teachers, two of which have upcoming deadlines in September: 1. Grant Program for Contests Designed for Japanese-language Learners Deadline: 9/1/2011 (for projects to be held between 10/1/2011 and 3/31/2012) This program provides educational institutions/organizations in the U.S. with financial support (up to $600) for their Japanese-language education related activities such as speech contests, quiz contests, and presentations, etc. that are intended to motivate Japanese-language learners and promote Japanese-language education in the region. 2. Japanese-Language Teaching Materials Purchase Grant Deadline: 9/1/2011 This program is intended to assist educational institutions in the U.S. to purchase teaching materials (textbooks, audio-visual materials, dictionaries, teachers’ reference books, etc.) for their Japanese-language courses by providing financial support not exceeding $1,000. 3. Japanese-language Education Grant Application Deadline: 2 months before the project start date This program is intended to promote Japanese-language education in the United States by providing financial assistance to the projects which are implemented by Japanese-language educational institutions/organizations.
