Body | The Graduate School of Teaching and Learning (ILO) of the University of Amsterdam in co-operation with the Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer University are presenting the courses: "Effective Use of the Internet in Language Teaching: What & How" and "Digital Audio and Video in Language Teaching: What & How ", to be held in Amsterdam from 17 until 23 August and from 24 until 30 August 2003 respectively. In these intensive courses participants will acquire specific knowledge about Internet applications and resources and/or digital audio and video relevant to foreign language teaching. The courses will help the participants to create language materials that they can use in their classroom practice. The emphasis will not be on technology itself, but on the methodological applications. A basic knowledge of computers is necessary: participants should at least be familiar with Windows platforms and word-processors. There will be no facilities available for Mac users. The courses offer a unique opportunity to learn together with colleges from other European countries and from other continents how Internet and its multimedia applications can be used quickly and effectively in language lessons. The social and cultural evening programme offers an excellent opportunity for exchanging experiences and for enjoying. The course fees are Euro 795 and 850 respectively and include: lunches during the course, tea and coffee, the course dinner and free access to the cultural evening programme of The Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer University.
