Japanese School to celebrate inaugural summer at West Coast location in 2011
Next summer will mark a milestone when the Japanese School moves to the Language Schools' West Coast campus, at Mills College, in Oakland, California. We're very much looking forward to bringing the same magic to the West Coast that we've created here in Vermont for the last 40 years!

Three-Week Graduate Technology Course (July 1–22, 2011)

The Japanese School offers a three-week non-degree graduate technology course for pre-service and in-service teachers of Japanese as a foreign language. Participants improve their IT skills in order to enhance course management and materials development, and training is provided in a variety of areas including word processing, spread sheets, graphics editing and the use of digital photo, sound and video recording technology. Because this course is offered as a part of the Japanese School, participants will have opportunities to observe language courses during the session.

Please Note: For the summer 2011 session, the dates of the three-week technology course have been scheduled so that students will be able to participate in Rakugo Week and attend a presentation by Shigeko Sasamori, a hibakusha (atomic-bomb survivor) of Hiroshima.
