By Joe Dejka October 18, 2010 Nebraska is beginning to translate its new statewide tests into Spanish to accommodate the state's growing Latino population. The Nebraska Department of Education also will provide Spanish versions of the score reports that go home to parents. The translations, which will begin this school year for math and reading tests, are intended as a temporary accommodation for immigrant students until they become proficient in English, state officials say.
