| Body | Collaborate, Create, Connect: Educators Working Together Date: Wednesday, July 28, 2010 Time: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm Location: Teachers College, Columbia University, 525 West 120th St., New York, NY 10027 (Room Number TBA) Directions to the College: http://www.tc.edu/abouttc/visit.htm?id=Directions This event will focus on educators collaborating with each other to both better serve students' needs and to create a support network for practitioners in the field of education. Teachers, graduate students, and others interested in educator collaboration are welcome. Participants will: * Discuss strategies for collaborating with other educators, both within and outside of their schools * Reflect on their own teaching contexts, examine various real-life scenarios, and discuss specific solutions for improving educator collaboration * Consider the special interest topic: collaboration between the content-area teacher and the ESL teacher The fee for this event is $5.00, payable at the door.
