TitleReminder: 33rd Annual NABE Conference
Body
From: NABE

February 4-7, 2004
Hyatt Regency Hotel - -Downtown Plaza
Albuquerque, NM

The NABE conference gathers teachers, administrators and parents of English language learners from all over the United States. Bilingual educators gather each year for program showcasing the latest in the education of this rapidly growing group of students.

Each year, the NABE conference features sessions in different topic areas, including the education of English language learners with disabilities. This year, NABE will include a presentation by Alfredo Artiles and Janette Klingner from the National Center for Culturally Responsive Educational Systems (NCCRESt). This session will provide an overview of NCCRESt's mission, framework, and strategies. It will also review in greater detail the work of three core teams, namely Continuous Improvement, Professional Development, and Research and Development. The session is designed to offer attendees opportunities to interact with presenters and provide feedback regarding the emerging work of the Center.

In addition, NABE has a Special Education Special Interest Group (SIG), which, this year, will host an intensive session on Wednesday, February 7.
