The curriculum gives high school students a view of Africa and the world that is not accessible through conventional curriculum activities. The curriculum also provides enriching resources for teachers interested in globalization issues. The curriculum is aligned with the Content Standards for California Public Schools (1998), at grades 9-12, in the History and Social Studies and the English Language Arts content areas.
