| Title | Call for Papers: Humanities Conference |
| Body | From http://thehumanities.com/conference-2010 The Eighth International Conference on New Directions in the Humanities is to be held at the University of California, Los Angeles, USA from 29 June to 2 July 2010. The Conference will address a range of critically important themes in the various fields that make up the humanities today. Plenary speakers will include some of the world’s leading thinkers in the humanities, as well as numerous paper, workshop and colloquium presentations by teachers and researchers. Participants are also welcome to submit a presentation proposal either for a 30-minute paper, 60-minute workshop, or jointly presented 90-minute colloquium session. Parallel sessions are loosely grouped into streams reflecting different perspectives or disciplines. Each stream also has its own talking circle, a forum for focused discussion of issues.
