| Body | From http://www.cehd.umn.edu/CI/Programs/college/Certificates/Advanced-SLT.html Teachers of foreign languages and English as a second/foreign language have an opportunity to gain a certificate that showcases their professional development work at the CARLA summer institutes. Completion of the Advanced Practices in Second Language Teaching certificate provides a vehicle for teachers to receive tangible recognition of preparation in advanced language teaching practices and methodologies. The new certificate is offered by the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota in partnership with CARLA.
