Call for proposals

IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is now accepting applications for Research Grants.

Individuals and educational institutions with relevant experience are invited to apply for funding to conduct applied research related to English language proficiency testing, specifically IELTS. U.S. educators and researchers are encouraged to submit relevant proposals.

Funding up to $22,000 (15,000 GBP) per research project will be awarded to a select number of proposals this year.

Identified areas for research are:
• test development and validation
• investigations into the use of IELTS by institutions
• case studies on the impact of IELTS on candidates and users.

All applications received will be treated as confidential. The decision of the review committee will be final.

Applications must be submitted on or before June 30, 2010.
