STARTALK 2010 Professional Development Workshop for Persian

In the summer of 2010, Penn will host a two-week residential professional development workshop for Persian instructors. This summer STARTALK program will accept 20 participants from schools and colleges around the country. The participants will receive training in Standards-based curriculum design, and materials development integrating technology. The main objective of this two-week residential workshop is to familiarize new and experienced teachers of Persian with the latest pedagogical trends in standards-based language teaching, with various methods in integrating technology for the teaching of Persian, and initiate further cooperation in language teaching.

Program Duration
July 12-23, 2010 (Mondays to Fridays from 9:00-4:00)

Fees
Application fee: $25
Tuition: None/ Covered by the STARTALK Grant

Stipend and Housing
Participants will receive a stipend of $1,000 on successful completion of the program.
On campus residential arrangements.
