The Foreign Language Program Office of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the National Cryptologic School (NCS), and the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) are pleased to announce that the AF-PAK LEARN (Language Education and Resources Network) Symposium for instructors of Persian/Farsi, Urdu, Punjabi, Dari, Pashto, Uzbek, and Tajik will be held Tuesday, May 17 through Thursday, May 19, 2010, at the Center for Afghanistan Studies (CAS) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The LEARN conferences provide language professionals with a venue where they can interact with their colleagues and give them the opportunity to discuss and explore issues related to the science and technology of foreign language education. The 2010 AF-PAK LEARN Conference held at CAS is open to all instructors of the languages above from any U.S. Government-affiliated institution. The 2010 AF-PAK LEARN Conference Steering Committee invites anyone involved in instruction of these languages at a U.S. Government-affiliated institution to submit a proposal for presentation at the conference.

All proposals for presentations, must be submitted online by midnight EST on April 12, 2010.
