Body | From http://www.concordialanguagevillages.org Designing Pathways to Proficiency for STARTALK Arabic Teachers Grades K- 16 Dates: July 25 – August 4, 2010 Location: Concordia Language Villages, Bemidji, Minnesota Teachers will work collaboratively to create a guide to curriculum planning and instruction in the K-12 Arabic classroom, with special attention given to the needs of heritage learners. The seminar will benefit from its location near the Arabic Language Village to provide teacher participants with the opportunity to observe instruction and to informally visit with villagers to learn more about their language learning experiences. The final product for the seminar will be a guide to planning curriculum for the Arabic language classroom, outlining a sequence of instruction for a well-articulated K-12 program in Arabic.
