By Marcel LaVergne November 2009 Mr. LaVergne writes: “I strongly recommend that all teachers of French read Entre les murs (which has been made into a movie entitled The Class and which won the Palme d’Or as best picture at the Cannes film festival in 2008) because it provides a realistic depiction of the demographic change taking place in some of the Parisian schools.
