TitleForeign Study Grants for CLTA Members

Each year the California Language Teachers Association coordinates the awarding of ten grants to study abroad. The grants are sponsored by various foreign agencies. Although some of these grants are not yet confirmed, they include the following:
*the French Government for study in France (2)
*the Goethe Institut to study in Germany
*the Spanish Embassy to study in Spain
*the Quebec Government Office to study in Quebec
*the Japan Foundation to study in Japan (application postmark deadline Dec. 30, 2009)
*the Spanish Language Institute to study in Cuernavaca, Mexico
*the Italian Government Grant to study in Perugia, Italy
*the University of Venice Grant to study in Venice.

In addition, CLTA offers a Memorial Scholarship for members to design their own travel abroad for study and/or travel. Two years of membership in CLTA required (2009 and 2010).
