| Body | The University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Asian Studies and Culture, beginning September 1, 2010, in the Department of Cultural Studies (http://www.uml.edu/college/arts_sciences/culturalstudies ) This position is contingent upon final funding approval. A PhD and three years of college-level teaching experience are required. Applicants must have a proven track record of teaching and research with an emphasis in Asian studies and interdisciplinary approaches to culture. Applicants with strengths in study of the cultural practices of everyday life or issues of postcolonial identity are encouraged to apply. Application review will start on January 25, 2010 and remain open until the position is filled.
