| Body | From: EVANS Gene Governor Kulongoski Appoints Members to the Board of Higher Education Governor Theodore R. Kulongoski today appointed seven new members to the state Board of Higher Education. Neil Goldschmidt, Kirby Dyess, John E. von Schlegell, Timothy J. Nesbitt, Donald W. Blair, Gretchen S. Schuette and Howard Sohn have been nominated to the board pending confirmation by the state Senate. Governor Kulongoski will reappoint Geraldine L. Richmond to the Commission. Henry Lorenzen, Bridget Burns and Rachel Pilliod will remain on the Board of Higher Education. __________________________________________________________________ Neil Goldschmidt is the former Governor of Oregon. Kirby Dyess recently retired from Intel Corporation. John E. von Schlegell is the Managing Principal of Endeavour Capital. Donald W. Blair is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Nike, Inc. Timothy J. Nesbitt is the President of Oregon AFL-CIO. Howard F. Sohn is the Chairman of the Board of Lone Rock Timber Company. Dr. Gretchen S. Schuette is the President of Chemeketa Community College. Dr. Geraldine L. Richmond is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oregon in Eugene. |
